What it does

The whole of Sellerly, described plainly

Everything below exists today. Nothing on this page is a roadmap item dressed up as a feature.

Orders

Three states, because there are three questions

Where the order is in your day, whether the money has arrived, and whether the goods have gone. Sellerly keeps them apart, so an order can be paid and unpacked without the software having to invent a word for it.

Order state
Draft, confirmed, processing, completed, cancelled.
Payment
Unpaid, part paid, paid, part refunded, refunded.
Packing
Not packed, part packed, packed, returned.
A readable number
SHOP-1042, or just 1042 — with your own prefix, allocated so two orders taken in the same second can never share one.
A timeline
Created, confirmed, paid, packed, shipped, returned, refunded. Decisions, not page views.
Notes and tags
“Deliver after 6pm.” VIP. Wholesale. Local pickup. Short, useful, not a workflow engine.

Quick Order

Taking an order should take twenty seconds

The fast path is the main path. Quick Order and the full order editor are the same code, so what you type in a hurry is exactly as complete as what you type carefully.

Customer
Search by name, email or phone — or create one inline.
Products
Search by name or SKU. Enter adds the line. Stock shows as you pick.
Money
Line discounts, an order discount, delivery charge, tax per line.
Delivery
Delivery or collection, with the address remembered from last time.
Payment
Record it now or leave it unpaid. Part payments are normal.
Confirm
Stock comes off atomically. Nobody oversells the last one.

Products and stock

Counts you can trust, because nothing overwrites them

A stock number in Sellerly is never simply set. Every change is a recorded movement with a reason, a quantity, a time and a person against it — and the current count is written in the same statement, under a row lock.

Variants
Size and colour, each with its own SKU, price, cost and count.
Movements
Opening stock, sale, adjustment, return, damage, restock, stock count.
Low stock
IN STOCK, LOW STOCK, OUT OF STOCK — as words, at a threshold you set.
No overselling
Confirming an order that would go below zero is refused, unless you allow it.
Stock counts
Correcting a count leaves a movement explaining the difference.
Locations
One to begin with, shaped for more.

Fulfilment

What do I need to pack today?

A queue in the order things arrived, a packing screen that works on a tablet, partial parcels when only part of the order is in, and tracking recorded exactly as the carrier gave it to you.

Packing queue
Oldest first, because the person waiting longest should not be buried.
Partial fulfilment
Send three of the four now, the fourth on Thursday.
Collection
Pickup orders are marked ready, not shipped.
Tracking
Carrier, number and a link if you have one. No invented tracking pages.
Returns
Per line and per unit, with restock as your decision.
Refunds
Recorded against the order. Sellerly does not move money.

Reporting

Figures you can act on, from rows that exist

Sales over time, sales by channel, top products, units, payment status, stock movement and returns — over any date range, in your business's own timezone.

Sales over time
Day by day, with cancelled orders excluded.
By channel
Which of WhatsApp, Instagram, the website or the counter is earning.
Top products
By units and by revenue.
Gross profit
Where you have entered costs — clearly labelled an estimate.
Exports
CSV, capped, and safe to open in Excel.
No forecasts
Sellerly will not predict your demand. It does not know.

Integrations

There are none yet, and we are not going to pretend

Sellerly has no marketplace connectors today. The adapter architecture is in the codebase and the channel model is built for it, but there is no button in the product that claims to connect to something it cannot.

When connectors arrive they will be for Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, Amazon, eBay. An imported order will be an ordinary Sellerly order with a channel on it — nothing about the product changes shape, and manual selling stays first-class rather than becoming the fallback.

Access

Owner, manager, staff

Three roles, because a five-person business does not want a permission matrix. The owner controls access and the plan; a manager runs everything operational plus products and settings; staff do the day's work.

Adjustable where it matters

An owner can switch a single permission on or off for one person — reporting, refunds, prices — without a role editor.

Protected at the database

Owner-level actions are enforced inside PostgreSQL, not by hiding a button. A crafted request is refused the same way a click is.

See whether it fits your business

Tell us what you sell and where you sell it, and we will tell you honestly whether Sellerly is the right thing.
